The Greater Greenville Master Gardeners invite you to their ninth annual gardening symposium to be held
February 6, 2010, at the Carolina First Center just off N. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville.
The day is divided into five sessions. Participants will hear three featured speakers and can choose between
concurrent speakers for two additional sessions.

Speakers:

Dr. Rick Schoellhorn of Proven Winners will speak on "10 Killer Mixed Containers for the Southern Gardener."
Amanda McNulty in “Flower Arrangements for Those Who Got Switches for Christmas” will teach you how to assemble winter arrangements using "found" materials.
Chip Hope of Appalachian Seeds, with “Organic?...Heirloom?...Sustainable!!!,” will focus on heirloom crops, seed saving, organic gardening practices.
Dia Steiger of Wing Haven in Charlotte will look at various ways to enliven your garden by making it a destination for songbirds in “Bringing Your Garden to Life: Attracting Birds to Your Backyard”.
Our own Cory Tanner will tell you how to “Get a Rise Out of Your Vegetables” by examining various building arrangements for raised beds, along with tips and techniques.
Dr. Janice Halderman, Professor Emitera of Botany at Erskine will demonstrate how a knowledge of pollination can enhance your understanding and appreciation of your garden in “The Secret Life of ‘Lily.’”
